Are you tired of Christmas cards yet? This will be one of the last, for now. My goal for 2011 is to have all my cards for next year created before October. The tree is going up the day after Halloween, too. This card was done with whisper white and pacific point. I used the Big Shot and the large snowflake, my new snowflake punch which is so much easier to punch than the old model, and a smaller punch I just happened to have. I also used the snowflake embossing folder which I am almost sure will be a carry over from the mini. The glimmer brads are so wonderful. This time I used a glimmer basic in silver to go with the rhinestones that I adore. Quick and easy! This would make a great thank you card, too. I stamped the words in basic grey. I love the softness of it. It is becoming my new favorite color.

Lovely as a Tree
This card turned out beautiful and is pretty easy to make. I ran the white base through the Big Shot using the dotted embossing folder. Then I ran another piece of white through using the scallop oval die. On the center part of the oval I stamped 3 trees in garden green. Then I made a hill mask out of paper, laid it over the trees, then stamped four more trees. That made the snowy look. I used a dauber and bashful blue ink to add the sky. That makes the snow really pop. I add the holes to the scallop ring and used a glimmer brad from the basic pack to add the punched snowflake. I attached the scalloped ring using dimensionals. Then I set the stamped middle part in (exact fit) with tape. Very Merry came from Short and Sweet. It is stamped and sponged in garden green and mounted on a red scalloped oval. One of my stampers told me to add some sparkle to the trees. That would be perfect!

Bird Punch Poinsettia Card
Thinking out of the box! I love our punches because they can be used for so much more than the original design intent. This poinsettia can be made out of the bird punch. I punched 7 birds in real red and seven in garden green. I also punched a 5 petal flower out of red. Next, I sponged the edges in chocolate chip classic ink. I layered everything together and attached the flower with a glitter brad from the basics collection. I added a bit of dimension to the flower by scoring the centers of the petals and bending them slightly upward before I added it to the bird layers. I layered red and white cardstock which I also sponged with chocolate chip. The words come fromSeasonal Sentiments. This is a beautiful card!

Wicked Cool
Here is Wicked Cool again. This time I used Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, and Basic Black. The images are stamped with Black Stazon and punched with the Square Scallop Punch. I sponged them with Razzleberry to add a touch of color. I added one of our new Glitter Brads in the center of the images. These brads are very sparkly and much larger than the regular brads. The Old Olive piece has been embossed with the Spider Web using the Big Shot. I stamped spider webs on the Razzleberry base with Black Stazon.
