CHRISTMAS SAMPLER
It is so fun making these samplers. This one uses lots of the Christmas items that are available in the Stampin' Up 2018 Holiday Catalog. Click on any of the picture below and you will be directed to my SU store so you can order what you need to complete your very own framed artwork!

*I used a 8x10 frame. All pictures are popped up with dimensionals so I do not use the glass.

*When coloring with blends in small areas use the marker looking tip. The brush tip is great for larger areas. Use Memento ink when coloring with blends.

*Attach dotted paper to the real red card stock pieces before starting.

**The dotted designer paper is cut at 2.5 x 2 (5), 2.5 4.5 (1), and 2 x 5.5 (1)
**The real red card stock is cut at 2.75 x 2.25 (5), 2.75 x 4.75 (1) and 2.25 x 5.75 (1)

Mrs. Claus: (Signs of Santa) Highlight her hair with the light slate blend. Highlight the other white areas with the light pool party blend.Their cheeks have a bit of light flamingo blend for color then add ivory over all. Her dress and the heart are colored with red blends. His hat and coat are colored with spruce blends. His hair is colored with the dark suede blend. His belt is colored with the dark mango blend. The holy in her hair is colored with light red and light spruce blends. Add Wink of Stella to anything white.

Branch With Lights: You will need 9 of the shaded spruce pine pieces to create the tree branch (Christmas Staircase). Only attach the bases so they look popped up. The base of the lights are punched from gold foil. The lights have Wink of Stella on them but add this carefully so you don't smear the ink over the words. Use dimensionals to attach the lights. Add 7 red rhinestones on the greenery. The lights are stamped in Call Me Clover, Mango Melody, Gorgeous Grape and Real Red then punch out.

Big Tree:  Use the green and white designer paper to cut out the tree shapes. Pop up the areas on the smaller tree and attach this to the larger tree using dimensionals. Attach a 1/4 inch wide tree trunk to the bottom tree. Cover the areas you want to have "snow" with shimmery embossing paste. Add Dazzling Details glitter to have more of a sparkle. Let dry (you can use a heat tool to speed this up). Add this to the dotted paper using dimensionals. Color the sign with red and suede blends. Highlight any white areas desired with the light pool party blend. Attach it with dimensionals. Punch a large star out of gold foil and attach it with dimensionals. I used a retired 1 inch star punch to do this. Add 9-10 red jewels to the tree.

Wreath: (Wishing You Well) Stamp the wreath full strength and then stamped off after you twist your wrist around a bit in Shaded Spruce. Hand cut the inside and outside of the wreath. Attach this to the dotted paper using dimensionals.  Use a glue dot to attach the red bow. Attach the 5 real red flowers (Dashing Deer) with glue dots. Add a gold metallic pearl to each flower center. Add a red jewel between each flower on the wreath.

Snowman: Color the snowman's (Spirited Snowman) hat, scarf, buttons, and boots with the light red and green blends. Color his arms with the light suede blend. Color his nose with the light mango blend. Add some highlights to his body with the light pool party blend and cover with Wink of Stella. Cut him out by hand and use dimensionals to attach him to the dotted paper.

Santa: Use the red, pool party, flamingo, and ivory blends as above to color him. Highlight his list with the light slate blend. Add Wink of Stella to all white parts. Cut out a small belt buckle from some gold foil and black card stock and attach. Attach him to the dotted paper with dimensionals.

Elf With Wagon: Color the elf with red, mango, flamingo, ivory, and pool party blends as above. Color the wagon with both suede blends. Color the wheels with the light slate blend. Color the presents with light red and spruce blends. Add Wink of Stella to anything white. Use dimensionals to attach all to the dotted paper.

Cut the diagonal plaid designer paper to fit your frame. Attach it to the frame without the glass. Use this to lay out and attach your pieces in the proper places. Use tear tape (or glue) for attaching so they do not fall off later.

Dashing Deer will make some wonderful Christmas cards this year. This one is quick and easy because you get two of the die cut embellishment dies shown in red here. Brilliant idea, Stampin' Up!!
To make this card punch out the blueberry circle and emboss the dots from Timeless Texture with white embossing powder. Don't forget to use your embossing buddy so you don't get white flecks everywhere. For stamping the words I used my Stamparatus because I was making multiples. One window for the red words on the front and the other window for the blueberry words inside. Emboss the front with the new swirls and curls embossing folder after you stamp the words. The deer is cut out of gold foil and mounted with dimensionals. Tie a tiny red bow and use a glue dot to attach it. The red die cut embellishments are glued on. Add the red stamp inside to dress it up even more. Very pretty!

Here are the supplies you will need. Feel free to click on any picture and order these from my store.

Thank you!
Chris
