Broadway Birthday Card and Box

Using the Broadway Bound Suite coordinating products make card making so easy! Everything matches. No guess work!

This card is a regular a2 card base, fold on top. The birthday candle piece is cut at 4 1/2 x 2 1/2, the black card stock under it is 4 3/4 x 2 3/4. The gold foil under that is 5 x 3. I cut WISH and the 2 candle flames out of it before I assembled the card to save paper. It also helps to make the card lighter for mailing. Make A is stamped in black ink. WISH is stamped in versamark and embossed with gold embossing powder. The whisper white piece is 3 1/2 x 1 1/4. It is tied with black shimmer ribbon and mounted on black card stock 3 3/4 x 1 1/2.

The box is cut from black card stock, 11 x 7. The long side is scored at 1,3,6, and 8 inches. The short side is scored at 2 and 5 inches. See photo below. After you fold on all the score lines cut the long side lines up the the short side lines. The skinny part is the box lid that folds down. I did cut down some of the flaps by 1 inch. Look at the picture to see where. I also cut the lid at an angle once taped to help it shut easier. These lines are on the template as well. Use tear tape to hold the box together. I cut the birthday candle paper and mounted it on whisper white card stock to fit the front and sides of the box and flaps.

The top of the box decorations are held up using a small piece of a window sheet cut at 2 x 1 1/4 and scored at 1/2 for WISH and 1 x 1 1/4 and scored at 1/2 for MAKE A. The scored flaps are taped onto the lid then covered with a small piece of black card stock. The window sheet helps the pieces stay standing instead of being limp and flopping over. I cut the candles out of the designer paper and glued on the flames cut from gold foil paper (thinlet). The dot on the i is attached with a tiny piece of window sheet to make it appear like it is floating.

Mini Travel Album & Suitcase Cover

A mini travel album is the perfect way to save photos and memorabilia from a special trip and to keep special notes and give a written account of the events about the trip!  There is plenty of space for photos and journaling in this mini album, and there are pockets to hold memorabilia.  One thing that’s needed for ever trip is a suitcase, and this mini travel album has its own suitcase cover, which would be a perfect way to present the album to someone who is getting ready to take a special trip.  Several of these suitcases could be placed on a shelf and there’s plenty of space on the closed end of the cover to attach an identifying label!
