Shimmering Wedding Cards

The shimmer on these cards really makes them wonderful. I used a sponge and painted Stampin' Up! frost white shimmer paint over the large flowers. I also did it on the butterfly on the top card. I can't believe I never use that paint. I will now! It dried it a  flash with the heat gun. The little flowers have blushing bride centers. I used a pencil (eraser end) and pressed the punched flowers into the palm of my hand to get them to bend out. The butterflies are sponged around the edges in blushing bride. The saying is from a retired set, but I don't know which one. It is on a white base but their is a second layer of embossed white held on with dimensionals. Every little thing you do like this just makes your cards more spectacular.

Rockabilly Scrapbook Pages

Life is bowl of cherries when you get to stamp all day! I created this layout for the Friday, June 10th class. I would love to see you there! Contact me for directions. I can also send you a kit if you can't make it. For $28 (includes shipping) I can mail you a precut and prestamped kit that will include all three double page 12x12 layouts for you to assemble at home. My email is jgalbra@bellsouth.net.

Stamps: none
Ink: real red, old olive
Cardstock: real red, whisper white, old olive
Accessories: Big Shot along with the dotted embossing folder and the scallop circle die and the tasteful trim die, 21/2 circle punch, rockabilly dsp, triple heart punch, boho blossoms punch, 1/4 circle punch, bird punch, dimensionals, white gel pen

I sponged around the edges of the olive scallop circle and the hearts. After I assembled the white flowers I used a the eraser end and pushed them into the palm of my hand. This makes the edges pop up.

Daisy Mother's Day Card

This was the Mother's Day card I made for my wonderful mom, my grandmother, and my sister. I used the daisy Big Shot die, little leaves die, boho punch, oval punch, scallop punch, dotted embossing folder, beautiful butterfly die, teeny tiny wishes, glimmer brads, and god's blessings. It turned out gorgeous!! It won't fit in an envelope but that didn't matter. I love the daisy die. The color combination is great. I used mambo, turquoise, daffodil, celery, chocolate chip, and white. Sorry I haven't posted lately. I have been getting things together for the Stampn' Success magazine article. That has turned out to be quite a challenge.

A Good Egg

Happy Easter! I used A Good Egg to make this adorable card. I stamped everything in black stazon, colored the egg dots with markers (pretty in pink, certainly celery, rose red, and bashful blue), then I used an aqua painter and a daffodil pad to color the chicks. The flowers are from the boho punch. They get the cool 3-D effect if you poke them into your palm with the eraser end of a pencil after you punch them out. I added a large pearl to each flower center. I punched Happy Easter out with the medium oval, sponged the edge with pink, and then I added a scallop oval layer behind it using celery. The base is daffodil textured by using the dotted folder and my Big Shot. After I assembled the entire card I added crystal effects over each egg. I love that shiny look. Sounds easy, doesn't it. Try it!
