I have finally started using the new in colors. This one is wisteria wonder. It is a very soft purple. I used the scallop square duo die for the outside square. It is a perfect size for the fronts of cards. To get the flowers to puff out put them in the palm of your hand on push the centers with an eraser end of a pencil. This will really add great dimension to your cards. Sponging the edges is a must, too. Even the flowers have been sponged. Don't you just love Stampin' Up! rhinestones? They sparkle so much better than any other ones on the market. Our pearls have a much richer color, too.
Sets: bring on the cake
Cardstock: whisper white, wisteria wonder, certainly celery
Ink: wisteria wonder, black stazon
Accessories: rhinestones, big shot, dotted embossing folder, beautiful wings die, little leaves die, simple flower die, scallop square duo die, sponge

Lattice Cross Sympathy Card
These started out as one card. I was trying to put the lattice cross over the swirls. It was way to overpowering. So, I had to start over but I didn't want to throw out the pieces. I really like both cards. The swirls cards was super simple. I just stamped with baroque motifs, added the boho flowers, layered butterflies, pearls, sponged around the edges, and added the words. The lattice cross is made from the lattice die. I just cut out the middle that forms a cross. This takes a bit of time because you have to cut carefully. I sponged around the edges then used a sponge to paint on frost white shimmer paint. I layered the top note on the razzleberry then ran both pieces through the big shot together. The cross is taped on the circle then that is mounted on the white with dimensionsals. The saying is also mounted on with dimensionals.
Sets: baroque motifs, retired sympathy words
Cardstock: whisper white, rich razzleberry, old olive
Ink: rich razzleberry
Accessories: sponge, pearls, dimensionals, boho blossom punch, beautiful wings die, big shot, scallop oval punch, medium oval punch, silver cord, vintage wallpaper embossing folder, top note die, little leaves die, 13/8 circle punch

Word Play Butterfly Card
I am still on the butterfly theme. This time I used our butterfly punch. Before I punched out the vellum butterfly I ran the vellum through the Big Shot using the dotted folder. What a great effect! I sponged the edges of all the cardstock pieces with pink. It helps soften the paper. I used wire to make the butterfly antenna because it sparkles. The butterfly is mounted with dimensionals. The vellum wings are bent up.

Fun Flowers Scrapbook Pages
Don't you love how Stampin' Up! designer paper coordinates? This paper called Delicate Dots is from a retired sale-a-bration catalog. I earned several sets so I could use it in a scrapbooking class in the future. I paired it with a new Big Shot die called Fun Flowers for this layout. It is so beautiful! My camera could not capture the rich colors.
Stamps: none
Cardstock: so saffron, whisper white, certainly celery
Accessories: Big Shot with the Fun Flowers die and the Little Leaves die, 3/4 circle punch, dimensionals, Delicate Dots dsp, scallop edge punch
I used the two smallest flowers on the die. I curled the edges up with a bone folder then used a dimensional to hold them together. I also used a dimensional to hold it on the page. The hardest part of this layout is getting everything to line up. That took some maneuvering.

Beautiful Butterflies
I just got the Beautiful Butterflies Die for my Big Shot. I'm loving' it! It has 5 different butterflies that you can cut out and layer together. This is the two smallest ones layered and curled under (with a pencil). I used the Ice Cream Parlor DSP that you can get free with a $50 purchase. I cut and layered a small scallop circle with two other plain circles. I put this up on a dimensional so I could tuck leaves under it. I cut out three celery leaves from the Little Leaves die, then I cut off the branch of two on two of them to tuck on the left side. The butterfly is also on a piece of a dimensional. Thinking of you is from So Happy For You which is also a free set from the sale-a-bration catalog. I embossed it in white. There is layer of white under the striped which was punched with the scallop trim border punch. I added some rhinestones to the butterfly, too. Melon Mambo is such a pretty spring color.

Baby Blossoms
You can make this card using baby blossoms from the spring mini. The base is marina mist. I used my Big Shot and the dotted embossing folder on the white layer. Then I added another layer of marina mist punched with the scallop edge punch, white cs, and marina mist ribbon. I love how Stampin' Up has paper, ribbon, markers, and ink that all match! Next I did all the stamping using marina mist, rose red, and pretty in pink. I cut some leaves using the little leaves die and my Big Shot. There is actually two layers of the frame. The bottom layer has the words from occasional quotes. I punched the oval out of the top frame and layered them together using dimensionals.

Big Shot Daisy Card
I think I should have asked Santa for a new camera. The card pictures just don't show the true colors. This one is truly gorgeous in person. The base is whisper white and run through the Big Shot using the dotted folder about half way up . I tied the ribbon around the card, added two celery leaves using the little leaves die, and two flowers from the daisy die. I used a blue circle brad in the center of the flowers. I used Curvy Verses and black stazon for the words.

VINTAGE VOUGUE
If you want to create the oval in the center of the embossing it is pretty simple if you follow this layering technique: top of the platform (close all tabs), cardboard oval frame, folder with the card stock inside, then 1 cutting pad. To make the oval I cut an oval using the Oval Scallop Frame Die out of card stock. Using the center oval, I traced it onto the center of a piece of 41/4x51/2 cardboard (from a Designer Series Paper package) and cut it out by hand. This will work with any Stampin' UP! embossing folder.
