Detailed With Love Birthday Card

This is such a quick masculine card! I cut the layers using Broadway Bound paper layered on basic black card stock.

The dotted layer is 4 x 51/4. The striped layer is 4 x 23/4. The candle layer is 31/2 x 21/4. I cut the black layers 1/4 inch larger.

I wrapped black twine around the whole thing before taping it to the black card base.

I stamped Happy Birthday and the scrolly things in black on whisper white and punched it out using a 13/4 circle punch. It is mounted on a black 17/8 circle from the circle dies and a 2 inch gold foil circle using a punch.

The inside has a 3/4 inch strip of back card stock with a smaller 1/4 inch strip of paper from Broadway Bound mounted on it. The words are stamped in black and came from a retired set with a black scrolly thing stamped above it.

Sweet Soiree Birthday Cards

Yes, these are cards! These hanging cards fold up for mailing and are so fun to pull out of the envelope. I used the Sweet Soiree Embellishment kit which made them super easy. I am definitely ordering more of these kits. I still have lots of pieces left for more card making! Even the little tassels are in the kit.

First I cut three pieces of card stock using the largest scallop frame. The pink cake is mounted on old olive. The yellow cake is mounted on marina mist. Then I cut three of the next size down scallop squares in whisper white. I stamped the words from the Cake Soiree stamp set in berry bliss on the top piece. I laid a strip of the silver washi tape from the kit on the bottom square then stamped more words in berry bliss from Cake Soiree.

To assemble the cards I cut four 2 inch pieces of silver ribbon and taped them on the front of the colored squares. The top loop is 5 1/2 inches, also taped to the front but remember to slip the tassle on first. Then I tape the white scallop squares on top of the colored scallop squares sandwiching the ribbon ends between the two layers.

Last, I used dimensionals to adhere the cake and flowers from the kit. I slipped the velum pieces under these with just a little adhesive on the ends that went under the flowers.

Super easy and super fast! Now I need to design some cards using the rest of the pieces from the kit.

It's A Wrap

Can you believe I made this using It's A Wrap? I stamped the bottoms of three of the wrappers in versamark, embossed them with black powder and cut them out. I turned them sideways and got these great bags! I used some narrow black ribbon for the handles (11/2 inch lengths). I stuffed them with real tissue paper (2x2). Everything is taped on to the back of the embossed bag. I used dimensionals to attach them to the white cardstock (21/2x31/2). I also used basic black and real red cardstock, the scallop edge punch, my Big Shot and the dotted embossing folder, the triple heart punch called Heart to Heart, and the 1 inch square punch (inside). For the inside I only taped around three side, leaving the top open to slip in a gift card. I can leave a message and sign my name by the cake. I am going to have a hard time deciding which cards we are making for the January class.  It is Jan. 21st and again on Jan. 22nd. Come and stamp with us!
