Six Sided Sampler

I wasn't going to get this set but then I kept seeing some really great cards made with it. Then I got it but I set is sit on my shelf for a month. I am so sorry I did that. It is a wonderful set for both card making and scrapbooking!! Even better- it comes in a bundle. You can order the set and a matching punch together and get a 15% discount.

I actually punched out each of the stamped shapes to make this card. It was so much easier than trying to line them up in the exact place you want them. Stamp 2 of each color. Cut one of the  wisteria and one of the pacific punched images in half. Line all punched and stamped images up on the top of a 5-1/4 x 4 piece of whisper white card stock. Use SNAIL to tape them on. Cut the edges that are hanging over. Run a 2-3/4 x 4 piece of pacific point card stock through your Big Shot with the honeycomb embossing folder. Attach it under the stamped and punched shapes. Add your ribbon. The words are stamped in gumball and punched out. Punch an additional image in gumball and cut it in half. Use SNAIL to attach it to the top and bottom of the word image. Use  dimensionals to hold it in place. Punch two leaves from the bird punch. Attach them to a butterfly you punched out of the new and beautiful silver foil paper. Attach it with a glue dot. Add a rhinestone. Attach this to a pool party base. Done!

It doesn't get much easier than two step stamping! Stippled Blossoms allows you to stamp a quick card with both elegance and depth. Cut out the Whisper White and Wisteria Wonder shapes using your Big Shot and the Labels Collection Framelits. Stamp the words on the white label. Stamp both full flower images in Wisteria Wonder. Stamp over those images with the matching accent stamp in Perfect Plum. Stamp the full leaf images in Old Olive then use Old Olive again for the accent stamp over them. Attach the stamped white label to the Wisteria label. Run the second piece of white card stock through your Big Shot. Attach it to the Wisteria base. Attach the labels to it using Dimensionals.  After the card is assembled go over the darker stamped areas of both the flowers and the leaves with Dazzling Details. Such beauty!

Organizing Scraps

I am so sorry I have been MIA. I have been cleaning and reorganizing my craft room. I finally have it set up and ready to go! The main reason I did it was so I can have craft time for small groups. I think there were 7-8 of us for the first Crafting With Chris. Ladies came over and made whatever they wanted to. Some were scrapbooking, some were making cards, and some were making small gifts. I set up my room where they could see what I have that they can use. We had a great time!

This is how I have organized my scraps now. They are in a file folder tub. In each file folder is a bag for each color. I have the colors grouped together (all blues, all yellows, etc.), tagged by name (computer generated tags), and in alphabetical order. I have never been happy with using scraps until now. The light weight tub can sit on the floor next to me or on a table if I am alone. Love it!
