Colorful Seasons

I used Brusho on watercolor paper to make the colorful leaves on this card. On dry watercolor paper, sprinkle the paint powder. I used every color. Then with a spray bottle, spray water until you get the effect you want. Use a paper towel and blot up any puddles. Use a heat gun to set the colors. It looks ugly but it makes gorgeous leaves! I cut three out for each card. Hint: cut your watercolor paper narrow enough to fit through your Big Shot so you can get many out of one sheet.

The leaves on the front are taped on to white full leaves so they can be popped up using dimensionals. The top leaf is cut from the copper foil paper. The inside leaf is taped directly to the white card stock.

The little dots are punched from copper foil paper using a 1/8 hole punch. Punch these out of the Pretty Label Punch copper die cut before you mount the word on it.

The words are stamped in old olive and cut using an oval from the oval dies and mounted on a copper cut using the Pretty Label Punch. Put it on the embossed card front using dimensionals.

The thin line under the leaf on the inside is a strip of copper paper 1/4 inch thick.

Make your own designer paper by embossing the snowflakes from Colorful Season in gold and silver. Cut your paper at an angle for an unusual effect.

Directions:

1. Cut a whisper white base and 5 1/2 by 8. Score at 4 1/4 and fold. Cut two more whipser white pieces at 5 1/4 by 4. One is for the outside and one is for the inside.

2. Cut one of the white card stock pieces on an angle for the front. My left is at 3 1/4 and my right is at 2 1/4.

3. On the top angled pieces stamp the three larger snowflakes in versamark and emboss them with gold embossing powder. Stamp the three smaller snowflakes in versamark and emboss them with silver embossing powder.

4. On the bottom emboss the snowflake from the Winter Wonderland embossing folder. Stamp the words from Hearts Come Home across the bottom in versamark and emboss them in gold.

5. Use the snowflake thinlits and cut out one large gold foil snowflake and 2 small silver foil snowflakes.

6. Use dimensionals to attach the two angled pieces on the card base. Cut a gold foil angled 1/2 wide piece to fit and tape it across the line where the two white pieces meet.

7. Tape the snowflakes on under the gold foil strip.

8. I embossed the words from Hearts Come Home (gold) and some more snowflakes (gold and silver) on the inside and embossed gold and silver snowflakes on the envelope.

Winter Wonder Shaker Card

The big snowflake on the Winter Wonder embossing folder makes a perfect background for a shaker card. The foam tape and window sheets make quick shaker cards.

Directions:

2. Cut another piece of whisper white card stock at 4 x 5 1/4. Emboss the snowflake from theWinter Wonderland embossing folder using a Big Shot.

3. Cover the bottom with the embossing buddy. Stamp the words with Versamark. Emboss them with gold embossing powder and a heat gun.

4. Using a 2 1/8 circle die from the Layering Circles framelits cut a circle in the center of the snowflake.

5. Cut a window sheet 2 3/4 x 2 3/4 and tape it to the back of the cut area.

6. Cut a circle 2 1/8 circle from gold foil. Cut the center out using the 1 7/8 circle. Tape this to the outside of the window sheet.

7. Place foam tape all the way around the backside of the circle. The foam tape should be on the window sheet. Be careful not to leave a gap or the shaker pieces will fall out.

8. Fill the shaker area with some of the metallic sequins.

9. Cut a piece of whisper white card stock at 2 3/4 x 2 3/4. Cut a gold foil snowflake from the Seasonal Layers thinlits. Tape it to the whisper white card stock where it will show through the window but be up higher than the sequins when resting. Tape the white card stock over the shaker area.

10. Make a hanger out of the gold and silver ribbon, add a piece of the mini sequins to it. Attach it to the card with a glue dot.

11. Optional: Go over the embossed snowflake with Wink of Stella to make it sparkle.

Gourd Goodness

I love the depth of color you get from this two step photopolymer stamp set. The images are so easy to hand cut you don't need expensive framelits.

Directions:

1. Cut a pumpkin pie base at 4 1/4 by 11. Score it at 5 1/2 and fold it to make the base.

2. Cut two whisper white pieces at 5 1/4 by 4. One is for the inside. Run the other one through your Big Shot using the Layered Leaves embossing folder.

3. Wrap linen thread twice around the embossed whisper white card stock. Tie a bow on the left side. Tape this to the pumpkin pie base.

4. Use your Big Shot and the Layering Circles framelits to cut the circles under the pumpkins. The lemon lime scalloped circle is 2 3/4 across. The whisper white circle is almost 2 1/2 inches across. Stamp the whisper white circle with a sentiment using pumpkin pie ink above the center mark. You make me smile comes from the Colorful Seasons stamp set. Use dimensionals to attach this to the embossed base on the right side.

5. On a whisper white scrap using pumpkin pie ink stamp the first layer of both pumpkins. Stamp the second layer on top of each using Tangerine Tango. Stand up to line up the two layers if you are having difficulty matching the images. Stamp a stem on each using chocolate chip ink. Hand cut around both of them trimming off the stems to a desired length. Use dimensionals to attach them to the card front.

6. Using lemon lime ink stamp the first layer of the gourd, full strength. Stamp the second layer also in full strength lemon lime. Let the stamp sit on the paper a little longer to absorb more ink. Stamp the stem in chocolate trim. Trim as in step 6. Use dimensionals to attach this to the base.

7. Punch 3 leaves out of lemon lime card stock using the Leaf Punch. Use tape to attach them under the pumpkins where desired.

8. For the inside stamp two orange pumpkins and stems side by side directly on the whisper white card stock on the left side of the card stock. Stamp and cut out one additional green gourd and one additional lemon lime leaf. Use dimensional to attach them on top of the orange pumpkins.

9. Stamp the largest pumpkin and stem on the envelope.
