Swallowtail

This was a card we made last month at my monthly stamping class. Easy and beautiful! One butterfly (summer starfruit ink) has been cut out and laid on top of another butterfly (summer starfruit ink) that has been stamped on the whisper white card stock over En Francais (soft suede ink). We used Dimensionals to pop it up. The Swallowtail stamp is easy to cut around. Make lots of them in different colors. Dazzling Details makes this card sparkle. I changed the punches below to accommodate the new catalog.

Postage Due

I am so happy Postage Due is in the new catalog. I love this set! It makes great quick and easy vintage cards. Don't forget to sponge your card stock edges when trying to go vintage. I also used a quarter of a sponge  with a little bit of Soft Suede ink and ran it over the Crochet Trim to make it a bit darker. I used Very Vanilla and Chocolate Chip  card stock. The image is stamped with Chocolate Chip ink. The words are stamped in Chocolate Chip ink and are from Teeny Tiny Wishes. I used the Large Oval Punch and the Scallop Oval Punch. Doesn't the Antique Brad look great on this card? I also embossed one of the white layers with a now retired folder but you can use Beautifully Baraque and get the same effect. You will need a Big Shot to complete this card.

Strength and Hope

Loving those new in colors! This time I used three out of the five. If you buy this set Stampin' Up! will donated $2 to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. This card goes with our long envelopes. You need to cut your cardstock at 61/2x61/2 and score it at 31/4. I used two layers of white. The butterfly layer is up on dimensionals. Easy!!

Daisy Mother's Day Card

This was the Mother's Day card I made for my wonderful mom, my grandmother, and my sister. I used the daisy Big Shot die, little leaves die, boho punch, oval punch, scallop punch, dotted embossing folder, beautiful butterfly die, teeny tiny wishes, glimmer brads, and god's blessings. It turned out gorgeous!! It won't fit in an envelope but that didn't matter. I love the daisy die. The color combination is great. I used mambo, turquoise, daffodil, celery, chocolate chip, and white. Sorry I haven't posted lately. I have been getting things together for the Stampn' Success magazine article. That has turned out to be quite a challenge.

Blessed Mother

Some people watch football. Some people make cards. This is what I was doing while the Super Bowl was on. The base is old olive and embossed with the tulip embossing folder. The words are from Teeny Tiny Wishes. The flower from Blessed Mother was stamped then punched out using the 21/2 inch circle punch. I colored the leaves with certainly celery and the flower with melon mambo (markers). I added another flower on top using a dimensional, then I added a rhinestone to that. I sponged the edge in olive then used dimensionals to add it a mambo scallop circle cut from the Scallop Circle #2 die and my Big Shot. I tied a white organza ribbon around the base then added the scallop. This is a very cheerful card.

I (Heart) Hearts Valentine's Card

I am tired of Christmas cards. On to Valentine's! This card was inspired by Sandy Hancock at sandystamper.com. I used the new red glitter paper. Oh la la, it is fabulous!! I also used I (Heart) Hearts and Teeny Tiny Wishes. I embossed the hearts and the saying with red craft ink and clear powder. These are on 11/4 circles which are on dimensionals. I used the new Framed Tulips folder and the Big Shot. You are going to love it! The ribbon is  red satin which I used a bit of sticky strip and scrunched the ribbon on it. Tht is a fun technique. The hearts were all punched out with the triple heart punch except for the larger dotted one. I used dimensionals to hold the white tulip frame off of the white card base.

Big Shot Lattice Card

I think this is one we will be making at my January workshop. I am loving the lattice die for the Big Shot. I also used the dotted embossing folder, the scallop punch, the medium oval punch, and the flower from the itty bitty shapes punch set. The ribbon is daffodil 1/8 taffeta. Get Well Wishes comes from Teeny Tiny Wishes. To get the center of the flowers I punched a 1/8 hole in the daffodil paper then I punched the flower shape around it. Pearls look great but I am trying to design for about 15 stampers. Five pearls each is a bit expensive and besides, I am teaching them something different!

Trendy Trees

I love this color combination! It is BLUSHING BRIDE, PEAR PIZZAZZ, AND EARLY ESPRESSO. The COLOR COACH has this combo as well as hundreds of others. Give it a try! The other accesoories are: PEARLS, BLUSHING BRIDE RIBBON,  the SQUARE SCALLOP PUNCH, the STAMP-A-MA-JIG, BEAUTIFUL WINGS AND THE BIG SHOT, the MODERN LABEL PUNCH, and DIMENSIONALS.
