Snowflake Pop Up Card
I have discovered the world of pop up cards. They are so fun to make! This one pops out on the right and left instead of just the middle. On the last picture you can see that I cut a scallop square (scallop square duo), folded it in half, then snipped it twice on an angle on the left of the center and again on the right of the center. You push the snips out in the opposite direction of the fold then tape this to the inside of the card. The angles let your pop ups stick out over the card edges when open but still fold to the center of the card for mailing. The swirls and snowflakes really come alive. I did all white on white for a challenge with the Late Night Stampers group. If you don't have a Big Shot yet this card will really push you to order one. You can have a class or a catalog party and earn one for half price. Let me know if you want more details on how to get your very own Big Shot. Christmas is coming!!

Snowflake Card
Are you tired of Christmas cards yet? This will be one of the last, for now. My goal for 2011 is to have all my cards for next year created before October. The tree is going up the day after Halloween, too. This card was done with whisper white and pacific point. I used the Big Shot and the large snowflake, my new snowflake punch which is so much easier to punch than the old model, and a smaller punch I just happened to have. I also used the snowflake embossing folder which I am almost sure will be a carry over from the mini. The glimmer brads are so wonderful. This time I used a glimmer basic in silver to go with the rhinestones that I adore. Quick and easy! This would make a great thank you card, too. I stamped the words in basic grey. I love the softness of it. It is becoming my new favorite color.

Tags Til Christmas Treat Box
After I cut out the Big Shot Treat Box I ran it through the Big Shot three more times using the Northern Flurry embossing folder. The folder cannot be overlapping an already embossed snowflake or it will flatten the flake. Guess how I figured that out! Next, I assembled the box. Then I stamped the ornament from Tags Til Christmas in Marina Mist and punched it out using the ornament punch. I added a rhinestone and a knot of ribbon to the ornament using a glue dot. This is held on with two dimensionals. I put some candy in a medium cello bag and tied it with more ribbon. I punched a small snowflake from the Northern Frost die and Marina Mist cardstock. It is held on with a glue dot.

Sweet Snowglobe
You wouldn't believe how quickly this card goes together! Fold your red base, emboss a piece of white cardstock using your Big Shot and the snowflake embossing folder, then scallop the edge of it. Tie a red satin ribbon around it and punch a 13/4 circle in the corner. Stamp the snowglobe from
Sweet Snowglobe in bashful blue then again in real red and yet again in wasabi. Cut out the house and the trees and attach them to the blue. Tear a tiny white scrap and add at the bottom for snow. Fill a sweet treat cup with a little glitter and place it in the punched hole. Use the tape on the cup to attach the blue piece. Attach this the base. Add a few rhinestones. The Merry Christmas is from Christmas Greetings and is stamped in black. Cut the base out of the red stamped piece and attach it. Done! We sell the envelopes to mail this but it really better to hand deliver this pretty shaker card.
