Gourd Goodness

I love the depth of color you get from this two step photopolymer stamp set. The images are so easy to hand cut you don't need expensive framelits.

Directions:

1. Cut a pumpkin pie base at 4 1/4 by 11. Score it at 5 1/2 and fold it to make the base.

2. Cut two whisper white pieces at 5 1/4 by 4. One is for the inside. Run the other one through your Big Shot using the Layered Leaves embossing folder.

3. Wrap linen thread twice around the embossed whisper white card stock. Tie a bow on the left side. Tape this to the pumpkin pie base.

4. Use your Big Shot and the Layering Circles framelits to cut the circles under the pumpkins. The lemon lime scalloped circle is 2 3/4 across. The whisper white circle is almost 2 1/2 inches across. Stamp the whisper white circle with a sentiment using pumpkin pie ink above the center mark. You make me smile comes from the Colorful Seasons stamp set. Use dimensionals to attach this to the embossed base on the right side.

5. On a whisper white scrap using pumpkin pie ink stamp the first layer of both pumpkins. Stamp the second layer on top of each using Tangerine Tango. Stand up to line up the two layers if you are having difficulty matching the images. Stamp a stem on each using chocolate chip ink. Hand cut around both of them trimming off the stems to a desired length. Use dimensionals to attach them to the card front.

6. Using lemon lime ink stamp the first layer of the gourd, full strength. Stamp the second layer also in full strength lemon lime. Let the stamp sit on the paper a little longer to absorb more ink. Stamp the stem in chocolate trim. Trim as in step 6. Use dimensionals to attach this to the base.

7. Punch 3 leaves out of lemon lime card stock using the Leaf Punch. Use tape to attach them under the pumpkins where desired.

8. For the inside stamp two orange pumpkins and stems side by side directly on the whisper white card stock on the left side of the card stock. Stamp and cut out one additional green gourd and one additional lemon lime leaf. Use dimensional to attach them on top of the orange pumpkins.

9. Stamp the largest pumpkin and stem on the envelope.

Coffee Cafe

I am sorry I put off buying Coffee Cafe. It is a wonderful stamp set!!  It comes with the Coffee Cups framelits if you order the bundle (main catalog page 31).  You can purchase an additional coffee set called Merry Cafe from the current mini catalog and use the same Coffee Cup framelits with it to make even more cute coffee cards!

This is a pocket card. The white insert with the stamped coffee beans slips out of the pocket to reveal your message. The Coffee Break Designer Paper matches this stamp set. The shimmer ribbon is gorgeous!! This is a photopolymer set so be sure to stamp on the Stampin' Pierce Foam Mat.

Directions:
1. Cut the chocolate chip base at 4 1/4 x 11. Score it at 1 1/2 and 5 1/2. Fold on the score lines forming a shape like the letter z.
2. Cut the herringbone blue paper at 1 1/2 x 4, the coffee stains paper at 1 1/4 x 4, and the large dotted paper at 2 3/4 x 4. Use chocolate chip ink to stamp coffee beans across the bottom of the large dotted paper. Tape these to the base.
3. Add the shimmering pool party ribbon around the coffee stains. I cut my ribbon just a little longer than the front of the card and tape the ends down in the back. Then I tie a faux knot on the front. This uses less ribbon, allows you to have a tight ribbon, and the knot slides to where you want it.
4. Now use tear tape to hold down the pocket by adding it only to the sides (behind the dotted paper area) and more to hold down the flap (again only on the sides).
5. Using chocolate chip ink stamp and cut out a whisper white coffee cup, a crumb cake holder, and a chocolate chip lid. Assemble these using tape.
6. Using pool party ink stamp the thanks a latte, cut it out (there is an oval framelit that matches this shape) and use a dimensional to adhere it to the crumb cake holder.
7. Use dimensionals to adhere the assembled coffee cup to the front of the pocket.
8. Go over the thanks a latte oval with Wink of Stella.
9. The insert base is chocolate chip cut at 3 x 4 1/4. The whisper white piece is cut at 2 3/4 x 4 and has chocolate chip coffee beans stamped across it.
10. Stamp some chocolate chip coffee beans on the envelope.

Painted Harvest

Painted Harvest is a beautiful stamp set.  The sunflower is gorgeous when you use two colors of ink. It only take a minute to hand cut around the petals so you don't need expensive dies.

Directions:
Fold the lemon lime card base.

Stamp the words with chocolate chip on the bottom corner of whisper white card stock cut at 4 x 5 1/4. Emboss this piece with the Layered Leaves embossing folder. Attach it to the base.

Cut out a frame from whisper white card stock using the Layering Squares framelits. Use mini dimensionals to add it to the card.

Stamp a sunflower on whisper white using daffodil delight as the bottom layer, crushed curry as the top layer, and chocolate chip for the center. Hand cut around the petals. Attach this to the frame using dimensionals. Optional: stamp and cut an extra center for the flower. Attach it over the center of the sunflower using a dimensional.

Stamp four lemon lime leaves on whisper white card stock. Punch them out using the Leaf Punch. Attach them to the card with the stems under the sunflower.

Tie a bow with linen thread and use a glue dot to attach it to the frame.

Cover the flower center with Wink of Stella.

Stamp a partial sunflower on the inside corner of the card with a few leaves around it to jazz up the inside. Do the same on the envelope, too!

Seasonal Layers Snowflake Card

Season Layers Snowflake Card

This card is very simple. I cut the whisper white base at 41/4 x 11 so I could get 2 per sheet. Then I cut the top on an angle taking off about 13/4 from the shortest edge. I scored at 35/8 and 71/4. I did have to cut 1/8 inch off the long edge once I folded it. I cut the blue paper from  our Christmas Around the World designer paper the same way then I cut off an 1/8 inch from each edge.

I embossed the words in white and added silver washi tape on the bottom of the blue paper. I cut the snowflakes out on my Big Shot, used mini dimensional to pop them up, then added a silver glimmer center to each. Very fast, very beautiful.

If you want your card to be large then cut your base out of  12 x 12  card stock instead. I like the smaller size and you can get more out of the designer paper.

Winter Frost DSP Curly Wreath

If you haven't made one of these curly wreaths yet you are missing out! It took about 2 hours from start to finish including a few breaks. It was worth every minute!!

I started with a 14 inch green Styrofoam base available at most craft stores. There are smaller bases available but like they say, Go big or go home! The curls are made from the Winter Frost Designer Series Paper cut into 1/2 inch strips. I used both of the foil accented papers and 5 out of the 10 other sheets in the pack. There are two each of 5 double sided designs and 2 foil accented pieces in each pack. To make the curls, hold each 1/2 inch strip in the center and use a bone folder to curl the ends like you would a piece of ribbon. Then use a straight pin to attach each curl onto the base.

Don't try to follow a pattern while adding the curly pieces. I gave that up after about the fifth piece. I jumbled the curled pieces up and just started grabbing them.

Santa's List

Yes, it is that time of the year! If you don't have an idea for your Christmas cards yet this one takes a while but it is gorgeous! I colored Santa's face, hand, and hat with markers. I added Dazzling Details to his beard and hair. The silver glimmer paper dots (office hole punch) make the snowflakes pop. The snowflakes are also popped up with Dimensionals under each layer. Don't forget to stamp the words on the whisper white background before you run it through your Big Shot.

Don't think that Halloween Happiness is just for Halloween. To make this Thanksgiving card I used  markers and colored in only the pumpkins that I wanted. After I stamped the pumpkins I punched them out (1-1/4 inch punch) so I could move them around under the punched designer paper (1 inch punch) to get them exactly where I wanted them.

I used Tags 4 You for the words. It is available in a bundle which includes both the set and the punch at a 15% discount. I stamped the words in Early Espresso and punched it out with the  Label Bracket Punch. Then I stamped them again in Tangerine Tango and punched out just the center with a 1-1/4 inch circle punch. I used a Dimensional to adhere it to the Espresso punch lining up the Vanilla swirls.

This would make a cute fall scrapbook page, too!
