Mini Travel Album & Suitcase Cover

A mini travel album is the perfect way to save photos and memorabilia from a special trip and to keep special notes and give a written account of the events about the trip!  There is plenty of space for photos and journaling in this mini album, and there are pockets to hold memorabilia.  One thing that’s needed for ever trip is a suitcase, and this mini travel album has its own suitcase cover, which would be a perfect way to present the album to someone who is getting ready to take a special trip.  Several of these suitcases could be placed on a shelf and there’s plenty of space on the closed end of the cover to attach an identifying label!

Secret Garden

You can never go wrong with pink and green. To emboss the background for this card, place the folder on the right and run it through your Big Shot. Then move the folder to left and run it through your Big Shot again. It will leave marks in the middle but you are going to cover them up. You could get really fancy and make the middle stamped part a removable bookmark. I also stamped some leaves and flowers on a piece of whisper white card stock for the inside.

Field Flowers

Daffodil Delight is such a beautiful color. It makes me feel good when I use it. This card was easy to make. I used a marker and extend the stem because it ended under the ribbon. I cut out the flower heads and used Dimensionals to pop them up. I added Dazzling Details on the flower centers and then added a few random scribbles with it on the petals. The saying is also popped up with Dimensionals.

Swallowtail

 

This was a card we made last month at my monthly stamping class. Easy and beautiful! One butterfly (summer starfruit ink) has been cut out and laid on top of another butterfly (summer starfruit ink) that has been stamped on the whisper white card stock over En Francais (soft suede ink). We used Dimensionals to pop it up. The Swallowtail stamp is easy to cut around. Make lots of them in different colors. Dazzling Details makes this card sparkle. I changed the punches below to accommodate the new catalog.

Postage Due

 

I am so happy Postage Due is in the new catalog. I love this set! It makes great quick and easy vintage cards. Don't forget to sponge your card stock edges when trying to go vintage. I also used a quarter of a sponge  with a little bit of Soft Suede ink and ran it over the Crochet Trim to make it a bit darker. I used Very Vanilla and Chocolate Chip  card stock. The image is stamped with Chocolate Chip ink. The words are stamped in Chocolate Chip ink and are from Teeny Tiny Wishes. I used the Large Oval Punch and the Scallop Oval Punch. Doesn't the Antique Brad look great on this card? I also embossed one of the white layers with a now retired folder but you can use Beautifully Baraque and get the same effect. You will need a Big Shot to complete this card.
