Just Beeing Me Scrapbook Page

I finally found a need for the bee set! I borrowed this from a friend to make this layout now I want the set. The bees are so cute. I don't know why I didn't like them before. I used daffodil and black. I stamped the bees, colored them with a blender pen and daffodil ink pad, used a blush blossom marker for the faces, then added glitter to the wings. Too cute!!!! I sponged around the edges of the white circles in daffodil then added them to small black scallop circles. I stamped the hive on daffodil, cut it out, colored the hole and the table in with a black marker, then sponged around it in daffodil. Sponging makes a huge difference in punching and cutting. I used the top note die for the hive background. The yellow paper is from the Playdate DSP. I cut out two black top notes and cut and layered them just like we do for the designer label punch. I added two leaves from little leaves in celery. The words are from some old letter punches I have.

Season of Friendship

I think I am going daffodil crazy. All of a sudden it is my favorite color. The base of this card is a fun fold. You start with a regular card size. Score it at 1 and 61/2 from the bottom edge. Then cut  between these two score lines at 1 from each side edge. Just above the bottom score line score again at 2 but only on the two outside pieces. Then score the inside piece at 51/2 from the bottom. When you fold it up it fits into a regular envelope. I cut some strips out of daffodil DSP for the outside edges. For the inside I cut certainly celery to fit (4x21/4), then I cut white at 33/4x2. I stamped the tree off to the side in chocolate chip. Then I stamped the celery leaves. I made the flowers using the boho punch. I placed them in the palm of my hand and pushed down the center using the eraser end of a pencil to get them to pop up. I added small pearl to the center of each flower. The ribbon is the wide daffodil stripe. The frame is from a new set available only this month then not again until July called Four Frames. I stamped it in chocolate chip, added thinking of you from sincere salutations (use s stampin' jig to get it straight). Then I colored the bird with sahara sand regal rose markers.

A Good Egg

Happy Easter! I used A Good Egg to make this adorable card. I stamped everything in black stazon, colored the egg dots with markers (pretty in pink, certainly celery, rose red, and bashful blue), then I used an aqua painter and a daffodil pad to color the chicks. The flowers are from the boho punch. They get the cool 3-D effect if you poke them into your palm with the eraser end of a pencil after you punch them out. I added a large pearl to each flower center. I punched Happy Easter out with the medium oval, sponged the edge with pink, and then I added a scallop oval layer behind it using celery. The base is daffodil textured by using the dotted folder and my Big Shot. After I assembled the entire card I added crystal effects over each egg. I love that shiny look. Sounds easy, doesn't it. Try it!

Pocket Silhouettes

I started out using the new Four Frames and matching DSP. This is what I ended up with. Not even close! I made the box with my Big Shot and two scallop envelopes. I had to cut down the bottoms to make them fit together using sticky strip. I added leaves from the bird punch and a flower I made from the small scallop circle (white cs- need 6, sponge edges in mambo, wet, crumble, uncrumble, stack up, add brad to center, then pinch up around brad). The cards are 3x3. I used markers on the rubber in mambo, turquoise, and daffodil. The flowers are from pocket silhouettes. I used three different punches to decorate the edges of the colored cardstock. I added butterflies using the beautiful wings die. Can you see the butterfly on the flower? Very cute! I stamped on the mini envelopes (found in the main catalog) to match.  I seem to need a small gift card quite often. These can be stamped with a saying as needed.

Bold Blossom

I made this card using Bold Blossom which is going to still be available in the new mini. It is pretty easy. I cut the scallop square using my Big Shot and the clear scallop square die. After I cut it out it was a little too big so I cut across the bottom along the top of the second scallop from the bottom and then taped that cut off piece on back on moving it up one complete scallop. You really can't see the line I cut and taped at all. The base is whisper white, the scallop square, ribbon, and flower tops are poppy parade. The leaves are certainly celery. I punched the flowers with a circle punch then mounted them back on with dimensionals after I inserted a yellow brad through the centers. The saying was stamped in with stazon (I did that first). You really can't see it here but I added some crystal effects to the brads then covered them with glitter making my own glimmer brads. They really do sparkle. I tied the bow and used glue dots to hold it on.

Nature Walk

Sometimes simple turns out to be beautiful! This card came together in minutes. Nothing fancy, just some stamps and my Big Shot. The flower stamp is from Nature Walk. I used markers on the rubber- pear pizzazz, daffodil delight, rose red, and tempting turquoise. The white card base is embossed with the dotted folder. I used the scallop trim border on daffodil cardstock, and tied it with daffodil striped ribbon. I didn't do a fat bow because that makes it so hard to mail. This one fits in an envelope. I did add three tiny butterflies from the beautiful wings embosslits die.I added a tiny pearl to each one. The inside is also really pretty. I just stamped the flowers again. The saying comes from All Holidays.

Nature Walk

This one is beautiful! You could change the saying to Happy Mother's Day and make any mom happy. I used pear pizzazz, chocolate chip, and rose red. I colored with markers on the rubber for the flowers. The bird is stamped in black stazon then colored with an aqua painter and a chocolate chip and rose red ink pad. It is cut out and mounted on dimensionals. The vanilla cardstock is 51/2x3 so only three sides got embossed when I ran it through my Big Shot using the tulip folder. I sponged chocolate chip over the tulips and then across the bottom to look like the ground. The chocolate chip scallop is from the tasteful trim Big Shot die. I used the pear pizzazz ribbon. The words are from God's Blessings. I used vanilla so I could add the flowers inside (and to cover up where I didn't stamp very well on the card. lol!). If you don't have Nature Walk yet... what are you waiting for? Andrea Walford was my inspiration for this card.

Nature Walk

Guess what my new favorite stamp set is? Nature Walk!!! I finally got out my watercolor paper and learned how to color with markers and an aqua painter. Why was afraid of water coloring? All you do is stamp the images in staz-on, draw on a line of color with a marker, then move the color around the image with the aqua painter. This is my very first try at it! Well, I did throw away several butterflies. It was hard to come up with colors that look good on her wings. The other tools I used here were my Big Shot, lattice embossing folder, scallop square punch, 1 1/4 square punch, corner rounder punch, word window punch, modern label punch, boho blossom punch, hemp twine, pearl, glue dots, dimensionals, and subtle brads. The colors are old olive, riding hood red (marker), rose red (cs), tempting turquoise, daffodil delight, chocolate chip, and early espresso. It took me three days to design this one. So worth the time!

Just Believe

This is one of those simple but beautiful cards. It only took minutes to make (after an hour of creating it, of course). I ended up using tangerine tango, certainly celery, and whisper white. The ribbon is daffodil delight held together with a yellow circle fire brad. I used the eyelet punch, too. Get Well comes from Sincere Salutation. I used markers and colored the flowers from Just Believe directly onto the rubber then stamped that on the white. I love this color combination. Very springy.
