Sunflower

After buying this stamp months ago I am finally playing with it. Can I just say WOW? It took a few times playing around with coloring but it is really easy.

I used a Daffodil classic pad and covered the rubber of the entire flower. Then I took a So Saffron marker and made swipes over several of the petals (not coloring in, just long lines of color from the petal bottom to the petal top) . I did this again using a Daffodil marker. Next, I took a Pumpkin Pie marker and did it again but I did a lot less swiping with it. It is just for highlights.  For the center I colored in the outside center with a Soft Suede marker and the inside with a Chocolate Chip marker. I did a lot of huffing on the ink then stamped it on Whisper White. I pressed hard to get the color onto the paper.

I cut the flower into four sections (2-1/2 x 2-1/2). Then I went around the edge of the stamped flower with a Bashful Blue marker (left) or a Baja Breeze marker (right). The words are stamped in Chocolate Chip. Bashful looks a bit more girly, but Baja made it look more masculine. You know how hard it is to design for men!

Of course I had to texture everything with my Big Shot. The sunflower is mounted on using dimensionals.
