Easter Blossoms with Brayer Technique

This technique took me a few hours to figure out. I found the instructions on Michelle Zindorf's blog. She does some beautiful work! You start with whisper white cardstock. Ink your brayer with tempting turquoise. Start brayering above the cardstock then gently (very light touch) roll onto the cardstock and keep rolling several times until the ink is blended. Then brayer the top again with night of navy. Next, use a sponge and old olive across the bottom. Then go over the bottom again with a sponge and basic black. I also sponged with the black all the way around the edges. Then stamp the tree and the girl in basic black. You will have to extend the tree trunk with the thin tip of the black marker. Use a white gel pen to highlight the tree, grass, and the girl. Color the blossoms with a rose red marker, then use the gel pen to highlight the centers. I added the pink subtle brads using the mat pack and piercing tool, then layered it on rose red. The base is old olive stamped with the flouish stamp from Easter Blossoms. The inside says Happy Easter, also from Easter Blossoms. I used some scraps strips of olive and rose across the base. Then I tied some knots with the olive ribbon and held them on with glue dots. We may be making this at my Feb. 19th workshop. Come and stamp with us!
